An Accessible Test Is (Finally, Actually) Available

Posted by Chelsea Belle | Sep 4, 2021 | Prions | 0 |

The blood test prion lab is now available to receive blood samples. 12 testing slots are available.

If you are a practitioner suspecting your patient may have spike-related prion disease, please reach out to be considered to submit a sample. 🧟‍♂️

I was on @AbsoluteWithE to discuss the prion aspects recently. The rest of it is more or less common knowledge at this point, I think. If it isn't, here's hoping a lot of people will be inspired to look 😊https://t.co/m5rKXuSRLs

It is my suspicion, that if one took any random sample of pretty much any Western population, and gave everybody an RT-QuIC prion test, absent any symptoms whatsoever, that the vast majority of those tests would come back positive for Creutzfeld-Jakob disease.

We're all exposed.

Until something more solid is identified, resveratrol supplements, or red wine, might be as good a method as any to mitigate prion/protein aggregation & neurodegeneration.

Of the various candidates, resveratrol is up there with the strongest & broadest.🍷https://t.co/cmqR3lOmjI

I've been looking into it for years. I've come to the conclusion that while it can present like prion diseases, it's actually amyloidogenesis. Self-limiting & treatable, not classical misfolding.

Progression should be directly linkable to spike exposure.https://t.co/gF1TT48qrr

Should I start a new crowdfunding campaign to get my lab operational and resume the prion research, now that the mainstream science is starting to catch up and the existential risk is becoming clearer?

— Adam Gaertner 🇺🇸 (@veryvirology) May 23, 2023

The other implication is also that there would be no further reason to suspect SARS-CoV-2 itself may cause prion disease in the long term. However, there is still significant evidence of a-syn amyloid. https://t.co/TlsAhvtnLe

UVB light at 290nm, which reaches the Earth's surface from the Sun, appears to disable prion protein.

This may mean that the risk of outdoor prion fomite transmission is nil.

Interesting study providing a difference in prion infectiousness dependent on log concentration. Need a model to extrapolate to levels of spike exposure to predict potential rates of prion disease to occur from SARS-CoV-2 spike exposure. https://t.co/QNvGLxIzrA — COVIDCandy (@covidcandy) July 26, 2021

Last tweet about prions, I had 10 anecdotes. Since that thread, I now have 25 people&carers reporting the same pattern. I am writing a case series on these widespread reports of prion disease.
